MP Tag (Mobile Phone Tag)

Welcome to the application page for MP Tag.

Have you ever felt like throwing something at your friends? Perhaps a cow, or maybe some poo, how about a platypus? Maybe you'd like to send your sweetie a kiss or hug.

With MP Tag you and your friends can tag each other with all sorts of crazy things.

The trial version only lets you send the cow. Install MPTag_Unlock to send the rest.

MP Tag currently works with Android 2.0 or higher. A version for older Android phones and the iPhone is in the works.

This application sends text messages which could cost you money. It is HIGHLY recommended that you have an unlimited texting plan to use this application.

Some third party SMS/MMS applications may prevent you from properly receiving a tag.

MP Tag utilizes the following permissions

• Your messages (recieves SMS) -Tags are sent as SMS messages so the application needs permission to read them
• Your personal information (read contact data) - When you are tagged, MP Tag searches your contacts to give you the name of the person that has tagged you.
• Storage (modify/delete SD card contents) - Stores a history of the tags you have received.
• Phone Calls (read phone state and identity)
• Services that cost you money (send SMS messages) - The tags are sent and received as SMS messages.

How to use MP Tag

Sending a Tag

Send a Tag

To tag a friend you simply select the "Who" and the "What".

Who: Clicking the 'Contacts' button will open your phones contact list enabling you to simply select the person. You can also just enter the phone number of the person you want to tag.
What: Clicking the 'Select a Tag' button will open a screen displaying the tags available for sending.

Current Tags

MP Tag currently has the following tags: a cow, a frog, a platypus, a loogey, a french kiss, poo, a kiss, a hug, and love.

Halloween tags are currently in the works and will be released in October.
We are very interested in any tag suggestions you may have as well.

Send The Tag: Clicking the 'Send The Tag' button will send the tag to the number you selected. If the person receiving the tag does not have MP Tag installed they will receive a text message telling them they have been tagged. (sample:  555-1212 has tagged you with a cow. Install the MP Tag app to retaliate )

Receiving a Tag 

When you are tagged, you will receive a notification similar to the one below.

 Clicking on the notification will open the tag.

Tag Screen

The Tag screen displays the tag and plays the sound associated with the tag. There is an option to mute the sounds which will be explained below.

Previous Tag/Next Tag: These buttons allow you to navigate through your tag history to see who tagged you with what and when. Opening the option menu on this screen will display a tag history for you to view the same information in a table format.

Tag History

Clicking on an item in the history will open that tag.

Retaliate: Clicking the 'Retaliate' button will open the main 'Send a Tag' screen but the number of the person that has tagged you will be populated in the "Who" text box.
